Not sure what OP is being proud of exactly. I was subjected to this style when I interviewed at Twitter.

Sorry my op sounded like I was accusing the author of something but this whiteboard approach is what I did at Twitter.

Yeah I don't think OP was defending Twitter I think it was just more of a story about how crappy the interview process is at most tech companies.

My experience with Twitter was really odd. I knew someone internal and had them directly submit my resume with a recommendation. The resume was tailored for exactly the position they wanted showing me besting all of their requirements. I got an email 4 months later telling me my resume was not good enough for even a phone screening. I've never had that happen before and it's still perplexing.

It's possible the position was filled, so some hiring manager just cleared the queue.

Good point; never really thought about that. I just found it odd because their email response actually gave me a reason stating my resume didn't have enough experience for the position when it far exceeded everything they wanted for the position.

At least in our resume-tracking software, there's a bunch of pre-canned messages you can use if you choose to, I imagine it's much the same there.

Did you consider the possibility that you might not be the only person tailoring their resume?
