Maybe I'm just an old fart, but I think it's less misleading to label "not production ready" releases with a 0.x.


Oh, that's very true. We used an internal versioning scheme and it became exceedingly difficult to change all the repo tags, internal references, etc. so we decided to just bite the bullet and use the same scheme publicly and privately. I wouldn't have done this if we could go back in time, but you know what they say about hindsight :)
