Interesting, but not surprising. I notice younger people consume endless short-form content but struggle to stay with a book. I wonder if interactive reading apps could bridge this gap or it’s a lost battle.


I assume social media doesn't count here, and I don't disagree with counting it differently, but it's also not clear what exactly is defined as "reading for pleasure".


Reading for pleasure, also referred to as leisure reading, comprises any kind of reading done for enjoyment or purposes other than work or school.
