If I’m reading this correctly, they aren’t looking to actually improve anything. They will instead attempt a little David Copperfield move to hide, cover up, or distract from, the problems while the world is watching. We should see things promptly return to the status quo once everyone leaves.
“We will get people housed. We will get them off the street. We will get them into temporary housing, address the reason why they were unhoused and get them into permanent housing.”
Does not sound like much of a plan & is not very reassuring.
I frankly expect they will push or bus people out and call it a day. Out-of-sight out-of-mind solution.
