Bigscreen Beyond is shipping, it's 1k. Immersed Visor should release by summer, though they've done some interesting things with pricing so it's not truly under 1k if you count the monthly payments.

So in short, they are hitting the market now, 2 years and there will be more models under 1k readily available.
