Switching from a German to a US Keyboard Layout – Is It Worth It? (endler.dev)

I dislike the one-row enter key on US layouts and prefer the inverted L-shape. My standard keyboard is a Keychron K8H3 with German keycaps (that's what is easy to find here), but I use it with the US international layout. But then, I don't look at my keyboard when typing anyways...

I used to feel the same way as you about the one-row enter key. However, over time, I've come to prefer the US layout. The main reason is the ease with which I can reach the enter key using my right pinky finger. In fact, I've grown so accustomed to it that I now find the L-shaped layout a bit cumbersome. Funny how preferences change when you give something new a shot!
