I'd still be using my 2600 if an add-in sound card hadn't died, in the process frying the PCI and PCIe hardware on the mobo.


My 2600 isn't in the same motherboard I originally got it in (or its recalled replacement[0]). I bricked that MSI board when I tried flashing the BIOS from Windows 10. Turns out, that utility didn't support Windows 10, so I'll avoid MSI boards going forward.
