There's no use case for decentralised currencies!

A cryptocoin wouldn't do you much good in this scenario anyway. The police, military and the rest of government is out to get you. That's the problem.

None of the turks I know who are getting paid Tether right now are complaining.

Last I checked Tether was not decentralised.

Ok they are better than currencies that ended up being pieces of papers.
