I hate to admit it but the best tool I've used recently for this is Slack search. Any attempts to find documenation where the company tried to "manage knowledge" led to an endless trail of outdated documentation and frustration. I've come to terms that it's near impossible to keep this stuff current and that it's actually more dangerous to have a system that gives you false confidence in its accuracy.
