Our web apps are Ruby on Rails on MySQL with a little Postgres. We've built a big API on ElasticSearch which serves billions of requests per month. You will be responsible for managing our database servers, optimizing them to scale, help troubleshoot problems (eg we have a lot of deadlocks), and work with the rest of the engineering team on database design and migrations.
