because you had the privilege to

immigrants are the only way to save this cluster fuck.

I don't really understand this comment. Can you elaborate?

which part?

the empire was always propped by colonialization - there wasn’t much to go once the colonies were no longer a cash cow for the UK

This narrative is bullocks and I’m sick of hearing this framing. “The UK deserves it because colonialism”.

Contrary to your statement, the UK is a center of education, innovation, and still a major player in finance. The current malaise infects the West and is much more than “brexit” or “colonial hangovers”.

the sun sets on the british empire. The queen is dead, long live the queen.

> just mentioning increased immigration gets a lot of people's backs up

okay what are you implying tho?

ur point is invalid. the market doesnt have this small device because of not enough demand. simple as that

post substantially

Substantiality is not limited by length. Depth and emphasis can weigh as substance, as is the case here. Though , ironically, ephemeral judgements regarding a post's substantially are themselves lacking in substance. Perhaps by discussing why a post lacks substance, a misplaced reprimand itself can gain substance. As for the originally critiqued post, adding additional emphasis through the unmitigatate plurality of exclamation points would paradoxically negate the potential for substantiality.

Yet such meta-analysis avoids discussion of the issue at hand, in this case where the culture and engineering of an up and coming company are put on display in a positive light.

a lot better

The first comment had significantly more substance than my lengthy navel gazing diatribe.

sounds exactly like a “typical employee”

this sounds awfully doctored

as a runner, i love the site.

this counters none of the points covered in the article

...nor is it meant to?

Two things can be true simultaneously: (a) it is worrisome that a company is selling PII at scale to government entities who would otherwise need to request that data through accountable warrant processes, and (b) we shouldn't call every such company a "data broker" lest we dilute the specificity of that term, particularly when the companies in question participate in the funds flow of the customer transaction.
