Even most humans will stumble on hard problems, that is the reason they are hard in the first place

If they can get to 80% locally, why not 100%. Why go to thousands of km away to get the 20%?

Because they are different goods that can't be aquacultured locally. Because PRC fisherman gets to make a living selling higher value wild fish like everyone else. Because it's simply not a problem when PRC decides to fish in international waters, again like everyone else, all of whom are similarly poorly behaved, i.e. SKR, JP, TW, ES... but you know 3/4 of those are US partners vs PRC, so they don't get the smear campaign.

Thanks for these resources

I used preview to annotate pdf for copyediting. It was modest 100 page text only doc. After about 70 pages or so preview crashed and the file became corrupted with no way to recover the annotation or comments. Never used preview for annotation there after. But as a viewer is good

this might be elementary but is a good introduction

In case of Indian main stream media, they have completely lost it. The collapse is not only epistemic it is moral and ethical also. They have become submissive with the present incumbents. Not only they have become propaganda tools of first order they also promote all sorts of nonsense as national level breaking news. Forget about accountability from the government, they tend to pin all the failures on previous governments.

I have a procrastination problem. but when the work really needs to get done one of the things that helps me is to set smaller time frames using the pomodoro technique. this way you do focused work for 25 mins, then take a break for 5 and so on. 25 mins may not look much at the beginning, but focused work in those 25 mins 4-5 times a day can actually get the work done much better than loitering around for 5-6 hours with no focus

It is rather unfortunate, sometime back even internet archive had been blocked (it was unblocked after sometime). Going forward researchers should take a firm stance that all research will be published as open access (not the gold one). That is the only long term solution.

That being said Govt. of India did an en mass subscription for many journals for most research institutes, under the One Nation One Subscription scheme

Anna's Archive created SciDB as an alternative to SciHub when SciHub blocked uploads due to a lawsuit. It's a better source to use anyways. Do you know if it's blocked in India?

I came up with this way by trial and error. Though I don't pare away the root. Just slice is off when dicing is done. Removing the roots helps a lot
