This sounds like a gas station telling us: don't just use your car for groceries.

I have to admit I don't follow this analogy at all. They're saying please don't pander to them in this specific way.

You could maybe argue they're trying to make it harder for LLMs to replace search, but they're trying so hard to replace search with LLMs themselves and also they're right that people shouldn't be formatting articles that way.


The relationship between Google and webmasters is completely adversarial at this point, yeah.

As the op may read along the other comments, we are tired trying the new shiny thing. Now it is AI's turn to get tired or never.

Dx resources must aim AI's attention having enormous technical documentation and be AI efficient in order to become mainstream.

I believe no other shiniest thing will ever make cognitive nest in humans. We are overloaded.

I fail to see how those two are disconnected.

If you are selling "just do it using AI", not that you are wrong, but you fail to understand the loss of years of investment in one self, wiped away one prompt at a time. Not literally, just feels like that.


I understand people being afraid of or disliking AI because they feel threatened, 100%. Raging and being toxic on the internet isn't going to stop it though, realistically we all just have to figure out how we can continue to provide value above and beyond the tools.
