“On Tyranny,” by Timothy Snyder

I pay $20/month to Claude.ai, and consequently don’t go to SO anymore.

I am so glad to be in the office.

For instance, every morning when I come in there is a person on my team that will talk about their family, their kids, their life, and that goes on for about 15 minutes. In the spirit of team building, I entertain it for awhile. But that does come with a cost.

Someone came in a few weeks ago not feeling well, but decided not to stay home. Ended up having covid and spread it to others. It's hard to be productive when half the team is out sick.

Every day I have to be in the office with others, I truly hate it. The pandemic was hard, but I absolutely miss being able to work from home every day.

"I certainly would not have a child with anyone who has been jabbed"

LOL, OK.

"or has testicular microplastics."

Again, LOL. They are everywhere.

I was going to replace my kid’s aging laptop this year with a Dell. But, I’m a big believer in remote work being the future.

I’m sure I will hardly send an impactful message, but dude, you’re totally not getting a Dell now.

This is just propaganda put out by Big Distilled Water.

They’ll never get my $0.99!

Over the past few years I’ve felt like Google itself is a spam attack.

This. Google ads are spam, Google search is spam, Gmail is spam, YouTube is spam...

Google gets their money. They don't care about anything else.

Baby: bath water.

You are playing up the noise and playing down the signal. Search, Gmail, and YouTube are far from spam. There are obviously many scenarios/URLs that contain spam, but all 3 of those products are overwhelmingly useful.

I know someone who used to work for Tesla.

They said after working there and seeing how poor the quality was, they would never buy one.

You can say that about every single company and industry.

You would be REALLY worried about your money if you knew how things work inside banks.

> You would be REALLY worried about your money if you knew how things work inside banks.

No, because banks are regulated and insured. If your bank fails, you’ll get your money back. As the article you’re commenting on describes, if your Tesla fails there’s a good chance you’ll be asked to pay out of pocket to fix their problems.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I feel like a lot of the comments are referencing the Drupal of the past, not today's Drupal.

Drupal 8, 9, 10 and beyond is quite different than what came before it.
