That's a pretty disgusting comment to be honest. It's very disingenuous too, being a bully is a personality issue and shouldn't have any place in a professional setting.

It makes others uncomfortable and leads to unnecessary confrontations and distraction. It's a very obvious personality flaw too, it's always aimed at someone in a lower position of power than yourself. Go try and bully your manager or department head, see how that works out.

Because the average "famous" individual has far more personally identifiable data out for public digest than you or I, It's not about special treatment, just understanding the realities.

Sure, but the publicly available data is huge for lots of people. I don't see why you'd make an exemption for celebrities. If you can deanonymize people in sensitive data sets, don't release them. Saying "we'll protect the VIPs, the rest can go deal with the fallout of their employers looking at their personal health issues" isn't an option to me.

Cars, roads and trucks have been around for a century, and none of us were around to discuss that.

Also now we have a century worth of experience to apply to deciding to add new vehicles to our environment.

And finally for the most part cars, trucks etc are primarily fixed routes - roads. We know where they are, there's planning and committees around design and disruption before they are set in place.

Drones move in a 3 dimensional space, with no set routes, and very few no fly zones.

Basically imagine a moped that can fly over your property or circle where you live looking for an address.

Not to even mention the privacy issues, most cars are still lacking in cameras, or scanning technology. Delivery drones will need that stuff to be standard.

~ You want thieves and rapists to freely live on my public pathways.

Those are some pretty extreme accusations to make at an umbrella group term such as "Homeless".

If your point of not prosecuting illegal campers is true, how does this relate to "Rapists and Thieves" not facing usual criminal proceedings?

In a personal side note, in many jurisdictions your blanket statements could be seen as incendiary towards a very vulnerable community.

The rape and thievery would lessen if camping laws were enforced. The vagrants would be pinched for trespass and illegal camping and drugs and whatever else.

I have reconsidered my nomenclature, and because many of these "homeless" have homes, I am going to substitute the word vagrant.

Our current environment and resource reach only extends to low earth orbit.

Even the moon which is the closest stable near earth resource is at least a couple of decades away from any practical use.

Chances are that the climate of earth will become more unstable before any kind of space based economy can really be taken seriously.

The moon is "a couple decades away from any practical use" in the same way that fusion power is. Likewise, there have been models of orbital economies for decades, and no one has even tried to actually do it. For all practical purposes our current reach extends to the surface of the Earth and no further.

I've looked into this before, following the same question you had. The most logical answer I found was the criminal version of an insurance policy.

Basically they would steal said artwork but instead of selling, the point is to keep it in hidden storage. Then if at some point further down the line the criminal gets arrested in relation to another crime, they use the location of the artwork as leverage during plea bargaining.

This is one of the major theories in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heists in the 90's.

I think this was going on with the mafia because the Italian legal system was conducive to it.

What crimes would exactly would you be proud to sell your relatives down the river for? Genuinely curious if all acts that can/could be labeled as a crime by the government of the time would count.

There's a fair amount of historical and current laws that have arguably zero moral good; Homophobic, Segregationist, etc.. all around the world.

But alas, There's you cheerily pointing out anyone you can help identify because, it's the law after all.
