These days all apple will give you is a thinner horse with less features.

A thinner, slightly faster, slightly blacker horse that will needs to stop for water a little sooner.

I like the 2016 MacBook Pro. The disappointment I felt was that after such a long wait for the update, I was expecting/hoping for a best of breed laptop, with no real flaws. In day to day use I don't actually think about its various (and widely discussed) flaws so much, and I just get on with using it as a tool to do my work.

The Touchbar is useless, though.

Startups can afford to have their critical systems explode.

I think apple had really stopped caring about the high end professionals. The real shot over the bow was the nerfing of Final Cut.

The middle ground user is probably far more profitable and less of a headache for them.

And I have 8.2 TB of data on my desktop.

I thought what Apple did a few years ago with Finalcut was the signal that Apple didn't really care about the professional user thought.

Looks like the trend continues.

Maybe they just decided that the prosumer market is larger than the pro one and they can charge the same prices. They don't build many models so they're placing theirs in the larger market and leaving the smaller one.

As someone said, there is always outrage, just never the same amount of it as this time.

That seems to be the case.

Also note: They removed support for PPTP vpn. While good for security may screw you if that's all you can use.

Perhaps we can use deep learning to find bugs in the code?

  * No Wires.
Dammit.

Lets be serious here ... how often to people cut the power to the house?

My only issue is wishing I could just run a cable to it and get it to be more stable.

You know you have a problem when you have to put a wifi access point next to the camera to get it to stay online.

I have no connectivity issues. Using a gigabit airport extreme. Is it possible your router is sub par?
