Then I'm guessing you don't vote, right? Because one vote makes absolutely no difference whatsoever.

One vote does, unlikely to be yours though.

This is exactly what I do with telemarketer scammers. I have no limit of depravity that I draw from in attempt to offend them. No limits. And exactly for the reasons you describe. Get them to crack and quit the company.

Have you heard of pig butchering? Sometimes the "scammer" you're talking to is practically a slave that will be beaten if they don't hit their numbers: https://www.wired.com/story/the-red-bull-leaks/.

Immoral assholes can out-immoral you.

> Sometimes the "scammer" you're talking to is practically a slave that will be beaten if they don't hit their numbers:

Doing crime to save your own life does not excuse the crime.

They're attemtping to ruin someone else's life to save their own.

That seems like a problem for the telcos to resolve. I.e. don't allow calls from nations that do this.

Yes, telcos have a problem to solve, but that's besides the point. It doesn't justify you being overconfident about who you're actually dealing with or an asshole to someone based on your overconfidence.

You imagine you're being an asshole to some criminal scammer, but you actually could further mistreating some poor soul who's been trafficked by the criminal scammer.

People who don't care about the possibility they're mistreating an innocent person are assholes.

> an innocent person

They are absolutely not innocent. They have agency!

They decided ruining other people's life is better than whatever the consequences are for themselves.

It's only normal that people they target retaliate.

Agency to do what? What are you suggesting they do to escape their captors and then survive in the foreign country they've been trafficked to? How will they protect their family back home from the revenge from the traffickers?

I don't care about pig butchers, if thats what you're asking. Your argument is a variant of "Look what you made them do". It's fallacious.

I remember reading a long time ago about why barns / shipping containers are dark red. and IIRC it's simply because it's a very similar tone to iron oxide and thus the dye was cheapest to produce.

Not quite right.

Iron oxide is anti-microbial. So a barn painted with it as a pigment will last longer vs mold and such.

It's also why large ships all have that red paint color below the waterline. In that case it's copper oxide, which helps slow barnacle growth and similar.

Back in the age of sail they even went as far as copper sheet cladding to make the wooden hulls last longer. Copper oxide pigment emerged toward the end of the age of sail / beginning of the steamship era as a more practical alternative.

I think a better analogy would be crack pipes sold in minimarts in a box that says "for tobacco use only". Crackheads estate sues the pipe mfr says you knew people were using it for crack and are proximately liable for facilitating the drug use.

I watched a drug addict lovingly turn a plain lightbulb into a meth pipe.

Sure, and aluminum foil can be used to smoke heroin. But they have primary obvious uses. That's the difference, vs knowing 99% of customers are going to use it for something nefarious. Even better example would be whippets or NOs meant for culinary or automotive use, but also usable for teens getting high. If manufacturers are aware and turn a blind eye, they can become liable.

..and any delivery, distributors, importers, and shippers should be held liable, also.

Trump is compromised by blackmail and we are fighting the war for Israel.

What could he possibly be blackmailed for at this point? There are zero consequences to anything he says or does.

child abuse

That evidence is already available. Nothing has changed.

Having proof on video of trump sexually assaulting a minor would still be significant, I think. Such footage probably exists and would make great leverage.

The Epstein files identify a pretty horrific incident involving Trump and a 14 year old girl, but it doesn't seem to have changed much so far. I suppose a video would be more compelling, but of course there'd be denials saying it was AI, etc.

I think that's their go to for damage control. I specifically remember in 2019 when Epstein was arrested, the MSM was running parallel stories talking about the rise of deep fakes. They were already setting the stage in case the kompromat was released. A few months ago with "Obama getting arrested" posted on Trump's account, I think this is a strategic reference to deep fakes. They'll say "that's not trump blowing Clinton, it's a deep fake like I posted of Obama, silly!"

There are written allegations, kind of a stretch to call it evidence. Blackmail is much more damning than a handwritten account.

Fair.

Biden or Kamala aren't under Israeli influence?

Its pretty safe to say that Biden didn't go start a disastrous war because Netanyahu said a nice thing about him. It also seems unlikely that Harris would have started such a war with her 2-state stance.

There's such a thing as degrees of influence. A fool who is strictly against anything Israel suggests is just as manipulable as a narcissistic moron.

Interesting. I wonder what this has to do with a comment about Israeli influence.

It has to do with presidential corruption.

We particularly need a momentary repeal of double jeopardy to get justice for Epsteins victims. I don't care what the implications are, or the precedent. What he did was unprecedented. Retry gelane on rape and espionage, invalidate the non prosecution agreement for the 25 co conspirators, and convict Jeffrey in absentia in case he ever turns up.

This is another way they rip off consumers. In a perfect world, the license would be resalable for someone else, just like you can sell a used Blu-ray. During piracy cases, they clamor about their "intellectual property". Ok so that means it's not physical, and once one person is done, they can sell it to someone else who needs it.

why shouldn't we all be as ruthless with Gates' Epstein connections as he was with all his competitors in tech? After all, he was a fierce competitor.

datacenters need to run at night too, so they can put us all out of work.
