My Chinese partner has very neat handwriting. From the age of 5, if she wrote a character incorrectly she had to write it again 50 times. Saying that, it's easier for Chinese people to forget how to write characters because the Pinyin typing system means stroke order of a character is easily forgotten.
You can't replace human contact with technology, it will never be an adequate substitute. We are social animals and I think the increased push to doing everything online will damage peoples mental wellbeing in the long term
Voters approve of lockdowns, especially when they get WFH as part of the deal. It's the young people and poor who really get screwed. Governments don't have any other solutions even though we don't really know how effective they are long term or what the exit strategy is.
