Most places I've worked support at least a couple OS versions back. Lately because of when the last device support cutoff was, it seems to be iOS 12. That's a long time to have to wait to use any of this, especially given the enormous benefits and how much more efficient it could make developers. Yes, we could #if available, but that would end up doubling up the work you have to do, completely nullifying most of the benefits.
Hallow is building a faith-based meditation app. Think Headspace or Calm, but for prayer & catholic spirituality. We believe that we're all looking for peace, and that there is no surer way to find it than by learning to sit in silence with God: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” MT 11:28. And we believe that if we’re able to combine the beauty of the Church’s prayer & meditation traditions with the world's best technology & design, it might just change the world.
Currently have positions available across our tech stack and for mid-level and senior engineers. Looking especially for engineers with experience at other fast-growing startups dealing with streaming multi-media and growing a product globally.
This might be the first Swift framework I've seen with halfway decent documentation. Always seemed like a huge barrier to entry for working with Swift server side.
Glad you think so! I'm hoping that simple docs coupled with the recent leaps and bounds of the swift server team and package manager (as well as incoming async/await) will make Swift on the server a much more appealing choice for folks with a Swift background.
