Electrek's take on the rusty brake is lousy.

Rusty rotors has reduced effectiveness. EV with regen uses the actual brakes because the driver hits the brakes hard enough, presumably emergency braking.

The fact that they rust and it's not programmed to regularly enable physical brakes to scrape the rotors could be the difference between the driver can emergency stop in time or hitting something.

There's a reason why TUV flags rusty rotors as a problem.

Even if we take the argument at face value, we should allow LLMs to train their models for free, on the backs of real people's work, just so that there's a chance that they actually improved well enough to replace humans, all that just to have a temporary boost on search discovery of our content.

Not to mention LLMs still spew a lot of badly wrong results (no I will not anthropomorphize the models, they're not ready yet).

This is one heck of a poison chalice. 王先生,你願意喝這杯鶴酒嗎?

Not that professional. Looks like a suppressor on a pistol, but not configured and tested so that it doesn't malfunction. Shooter is skilled enough to deal with the malfunctions.

This suggests that shooter's at the minimum enthusiast, possibly trained for a different profession as a rank and file guy, but not enough to actually put somewhat specialty gear together reliably.

I don't think the guy's a hired assassin per se, but more likely a very disgruntled person who felt wronged by UnitedHealth.

Literally closing paragraph of the article:

The virus can also destroy immune responses to previous infections—a phenomenon known as "immune amnesia"—which can leave children vulnerable to various other infections for years afterward.

Don't forget Iraq. 6000 civilian dead in the first 2 months of shock and awe.

Compare the rates of civilian death too
