And even just that aspect of the service is now extremely unreliable. If outages in the LLM side can cause that to break, that would indicate some serious architectural problems.

This is part of why it took over 40 years for Israel to finally find a U.S. president ignorant enough to pull something like this.

> ignorant enough

Might not be ignorance. There's still the strong possibility that "blackmail material" is floating around due to the island of one of Trumps old friends.

On the one hand, Trump's brazenness about basically everything makes it hard to see how anything could be effective blackmail.

On the other, he did deny the affair with Stormy Daniels, so perhaps he's easier to blackmail than I think he is?

Donald Trump strikes me as a man who has done a lot of things in his life that is blackmail material.

Done, yes I agree, but it only counts as blackmail if he were responsive to the threat. That responsiveness is the only place where I'm uncertain.

I'm sure he's done something he is very embarrassed about, some sexual fetish on record or something similar.

I wouldn't put it past him to go to war to protect such secrets, if he can conceivably frame it as something positive.

Also, let us never forget that the Epstein class are extremely skilled, and experienced, in making money off of things going to shit.

High rises are expensive to build. The reason they are built in the first place is that land is even more expensive, and expensive land militates for parking garages rather than open parking lots.

> One-fifth of sales organizations within Fortune 500 companies are expected to actively recruit neurodivergent talent to improve business performance by 2027, according to a Gartner study.

Good luck with that. HR departments and interview processes expertly and efficiently filter out neurodivergent talent.

Yep, despite 30 years of professional programming experience, I can't live code. And it seems like everyone wants a live coding interview now. I gave up my job search after 2 years of failure.

When I write code, I have to be in a state of mind that is incompatible with what is expected in these interviews. And switching back and forth between these mental states is slow and mentally taxing.

Even trying to enter a coding state of mind during an interview is like trying to force myself to fall asleep with lights on and other distractions.

Indeed. Most neurodivergents I know in my country are on government benefits because they are unable to work -- or rather "incompatible with the modern workplace", because they can but not allowed to.

The fellowships mentioned in the post probably select for such traits. At some level I agree that maybe line workers at big companies may need to be of stable and predictable mental character. But entrepreneurs may not be held to that standard.

I have a feeling that a lot of entrepreneurs start businesses simply because they don't fit into the modern work environment.

Can you elaborate on this stance? Feels like a judgement and an underlying assumption on a couple ends.

I can see why you would have problems with HR.

The spikes in fuel costs are enough now to eat the entire profit for a trip, and then some.

Being a branch of engineering implies a certain level of professionalism and accountability that the software development community actively resists.

One of the things Iran figured out fairly quickly about Israel is that reducing their rate of fire is more effective for wearing down the population, and eroding political support for the war.

The longer Iran can keep the air raid sirens blaring in Israel, the better.

Since the 1950s, and I wonder why that might be?

Pulling the rug so his family members and other associates can buy the market dip.

There are even better ways to do it through options. You can make money both on the way down and on the way up.

Dips are better because not everyone has the buying power to make a dip happen
