if it's made by a 4channer, it's probably stolen API keys

This made my day, thanks :)

what is the full tiling experience like? I was never a tiling WM guy, on Linux I'd just set some KDE shortcuts for moving and resizing windows. On macOS I used Spectacle and then Rectangle but not sure what I am missing out on, I was always content with Spectacle

I've used XMonad for a while now. Almost no fiddling with windows at all.

If you buy someone's old gaming account (Steam for example) with many years of activity, you can appear more legitimate when trading, therefore making it easier for people to trust you and fall victim to your scam(s)

that lightning AV adapter is crazy, iirc it creates an ethernet connection to airplay the display to the device

I absolutely love how Skyrim's world is built. A lot of details that would fly past most players' attention are quite thought through. How roads connect, where do rivers intersect, where do lakes get their water from, in which direction do they flow etc.

Love this type of post, thanks for the writeup.

So could you delete the account from inside the game at the end or it requires contacting the customer support?

Does anyone know if iOS in lockdown mode stops syncing mail, imessage, call history etc to your other apple devices? I am wondering if reporter's stuff was all synced to the non lockdown MacBook from the iPhone

They usually ask you to enable lockdown mode on all your devices for advanced protection, even though you can skip it if you want.

Yeah.

This reporter very likely knew who she was dealing with. For users like her, everything is likely locked down and she probably didn't do much sharing.

I'm thinking that, to her, her sources would be probably one of the most important things in her life to protect.

Looks like lockdown mode is focused on blocking inbound threats, not the sharing of data from the device.

I can't imagine it would. The accounts don't flow through the phone you're just logged in to them on both devices.

Have you tried Clion for C++? I am not an experienced C dev by any means, but I am satisfied with their debugging for all the projects I worked on in that IDE. It has a free community license so no need to pay

I have not!

Ultimately, my complaints only really apply to coding for work. For personal projects I find emacs / LSP / dap more than sufficient.

But to be honest this is still something I should maybe bring up with our tools team. If it works well with .xcodeproj files it might be a good fit for our team.

I browse my LinkedIn feed (yeah, I know) and I often see discussions pop up between people from my network, albeit nowadays it's mostly about AI tools.

I see discussions pop up on /r/webdev on reddit, but not a super active subreddit.

on 4chan there used to be /wdg/ (maybe there still is, but i haven't been to that website in years at this point)

I bet a lot of discussions happen on Slack servers for specific frameworks, but I don't have a lot of experience with using those except asking questions in the #questions channels

what do you use Flameshot for on macOS? if you want to edit stuff, you can set the screenshot tool to open the screenshot in Preview.app where you can perform basic editing on it (cmd+shift+5 and then click Options and choose "Preview" in "Save to")

The built-in screenshot tool is the thing I'm trying to replace. Editing is less of an issue. I rarely need to edit.
