> People who love using AI to create software are loving it because they don’t value the act of creating & understanding the software.

Why assign YOUR feeling about an interaction to everyone else? LLMs coding agents are a tool for me to investigate and learn about what I'm doing. For others they can be a therapist, or organizational tool, or whatever.

I would love the apple studio display if the framerate wasn't actually crap.

Even doing programming, 60hz is not enough man.

Plus more peripheral ports.

I have a Studio Display and would also love if it had a much higher refresh rate, but only because I play WoW on it. Why isn't 60hz enough for programming? I don't think I notice the refresh rate at all when not playing a video game or watching videos.

When I move my mouse, or if I'm moving between full screens (terminal to IDE to browser), I see the stutter and slowness.

I code on a LG UltraGear OLED 4K HDR 240 Hz Gaming Monitor.

Could be my sensitivity though.

I'm personally not very sensitive to refresh rates, I only really notice it in video games and it wasn't enough to keep me from replacing my 120hz primary monitor with the Studio Display. I was just curious about why you prefer higher refresh rate for programming, thanks for answering!

> I see the stutter and slowness

Sounds like it is not maintaining 60 fps. Higher display refresh rate wouldn't fix that.

It's all stochastic.

The goal is to get that one lunatic to do something, that sets off the response which drains resources and makes the powers at be less nimble.

We live in a world of subtle war.

None of that matters.

Just let the parents be responsible. Jesus.

Attach minor accounts to the account of the parent, make the parent say yes.

Ok, but you're saying two different things. You can't know a minor account is a minor account unless you require age verification.

Don't get me wrong - I support your proposal. But it requires massive state intervention.

As much as we talk about AI hype, is there not a bigger example than Palantir? Maybe Tesla?

Whenever a company seems to have defensive hype-men rather than customer success stories, it's a red flag for me.

The CEO of a company constantly looking and sounding high AF might be a red flag too.

This seems great, but installing a bunch of prompt from an hackernews/github account with no history seems like something you shouldn't do. Especially with "silent auto-upgrade".

At least its open source ?

And apparently Indians. Unfortunately the worldwide supply of poor and desperate young men is virtually infinite so Russia will be able to recruit more mercenaries as long as they have cash from fossil fuel exports.

Same. My steam deck ended up being a “donation to Linux gaming fund for valve”.

Same. I was looking to see if others had the same experience. With a toddler and my personal goal of being as present as possible with him, I rarely find enough time to use it. When he sleeps, I go on the PC and that's it.

Maybe as he gets older. Until then, I'm just periodically charging it up.

Electrician, some sort of doctor, or chef.
