I got a remarkable 2 roughly when it was released and as far as I can tell the company never supported third party devs. They gave you root access but no relevant source code...
Really quite disappointing, the device could have been a lot more useful with even a tiny bit of energy spent releasing source code for things they already developed.
As far as I can tell, and I’m happy to be corrected, most of the Apple trackpad “magic” comes from the software drivers, not from unique hardware. So making a frankenwork laptop wouldn’t really help unless you spent effort fighting with closed source blobs in an environment they don’t want to be in.
It's plausible that broad concern about recycled plastics would be valid.
This study[1] found that the recycled plastics analyzed were fairly toxic. I recall another that found the same for recycled synthetic clothing, but I was unable to find a reference.
I'd also really love to hear an answer to this question. The difference isn't really clear from the comparison on this page: https://wasmer.io/products/edge
I wrote a server that bridges Subsonic clients to my Spotify library. I like that it lets me to stream anything on Spotify but I can still fill in favorites that aren't available.
